The Glycation Factor revolutionizes the way we think about what’s good to eat for health.

For many decades, so-called nutrition experts kept focusing on the dangers of fat and cholesterol even though there wasn’t any proven evidence.

The “evidence” was actually all conjured up and statistically manipulated.

I’m here to explain to you the real dietary villain and it’s effect on every aspect of your health.

This “villain” is glucose or blood sugar coming from the carbohydrates that we eat.

This glucose binds to the proteins that make up our body – this is a glycated protein and the resulting damage glycated proteins cause is beyond anything you can imagine!

So, what you’re telling me that the recommended diet advice from all the experts out there is wrong and you’re right?

Unfortunately, yes. I followed their advice and consulted with the experts myself even becoming a strict vegetarian but could never achieve optimal health. I’ve done this for over 40 years of my life and out of sheer frustration went to college and grad school to get my PhD and do the research myself and the results shocked me. What did I learn? That no one did their homework and they just blindly followed what they’d heard. For the last 20 years I followed the truth which has given both me and my clients outstanding results. This book reveals those truths.

So Dr. Ellis, all I have to do is follow a low-carbohydrate diet?

If only it were that simple but there is much more to it, and 99% of the popular low-carb diets out there miss so much that’s critical to your success. For example, many of these diets talk about increasing protein and in the wrong nutritional environment this is hazardous. You should never follow a low-fat, high-protein, and low-carbohydrate diet.

The Glycation Factor How the Recommended Healthy Diet Maims and Kills edition by Dr Gregory Ellis Health Fitness Dieting eBooks

Dr. Ellis appears to be right on and has been for a long time. All the other experts on the low carb high fat diets (LCHF) and those who are now questioning conventional medicine's disease theory about cholesterol don't seem to reference him or include him in their conferences. Ellis attacks the drug industry and conventional medicine. In this book, he stresses the damage glucose does by binding lipoproteins and how it affects collagen and elastic tissue. You don't get on the Dr. Oz show by calling him a fool but that's what Dr. Ellis does. I am an M.D. surgeon and I believe Ellis. When you realize the magnitude of what the error in understanding physiology and biochemistry has cost and will cost the country, it is unimaginable. When all these obese type II people lose their kidney function, coronary arteries and legs, it will break the already broken bank.
Ellis and some others are blowing their fog horns but this ship will not be turned and is heading for disaster.

The Glycation Factor How the Recommended Healthy Diet Maims and Kills edition by Dr Gregory Ellis Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews

I am a fan and follower of Dr. Ellis' work and this book is full of great information. Glycation is something we should all read about and try to understand.
This book saved me from years of bad advice.
HONEST SELLER A+++++
Ellis presents nutrition in a new light that anybody who has tried to follow any nutritional plan would find enlightening. It took a lot of my open questions about nutrition that have developed from reading, research and personal experience experimenting with different eating styles & workouts over the years and connects the dots.

Some questions that were answered

Why would doctors ever recommend a diet full of carbs to diabetics or others with insulin and blood sugar maintenance issues, only to counter that diet with drugs to maintain normalcy when a low carb diet essentially resolves their biggest problems.

Why do I still put on fat, and not lose weight when I consume fewer calories than I'm burning, even with extensive exercise?

Why do other low carb diets market the concept of no calorie restrictions, when basic laws dictate if you eat more calories than you burn, you can't lose weight.

This book basically simplifies all the complexities that other diets, and nutritionists tout. There is no worry about when to eat, how often to eat, eating close to bedtime, when to workout during the day (because it honestly doesn't matter), and teaches you that pretty much everything you knew about nutrition, no matter how much you wanted to believe it, is wrong, and uses his research to teach you why. Things make so much more sense now.

Ellis doesn't stop there....oh no, not by a long shot. There are large chunks of the book dedicated to nutritional and health conspiracy theories (in a literal, not a derogatory sense). Were those parts interesting to read? Sure. Did Ellis' style of writing and finger pointing make me want to believe him? Nope. Honestly, those sections, even if they are 100% true, felt completely out of place for a book I picked up to read about glycation and nutrition. I don't think the inclusion of those topics helped to further his already well structured points on nutrition, and even hurt his credibility in scientific circles if he ever wanted to take his theories on nutrition and get them officially recognized.

The open mocking of anybody who used the glycemic index to better their lifestyle was personal. His point that total insulin release is what matters for his diet and the glycemic index is worthless for everybody regardless of the diet they try to follow was absurd. There is a lot of harm that can come from spiking insulin levels and the resultant blood sugar crash especially for reactive hypoglycemics, and the stress it puts on their adrenal system as a result. Lowering the spikes and subsequent drops is a necessary reality for anybody who doesn't have the will power or means to follow a strict low carb diet like a lot of people I know with similar issues.

You'll get a feeling that the author is a total tool (errr, maybe we'll call him passionate) while reading this book, but the parts that are relevant to glycation and nutrition, are worth reading. When you get to a section where ranting starts, just skip a few pages to something relevant. Yes, we have a lot of greedy bastards willing to sacrifice the well being of others in this world to further their gains and pride, and all research released through any organization should be taken with a grain of salt and the reader should do their due diligence to sort them out. We don't need half the book dedicated to that to get the authors original points across.
I like that it is heavily researched. I am lucky l have a degree in health sciences and understand what he is talking about. However, I can see how tiresome this would be not those not in the sciences. He is very passionate about his work and that definitely comes across as he explains why he is against all other diets. I enjoyed this book and all the information was great. I am actually trying his diet plan because I eat low carb already And I'm curious to see the effects. I don't know if I'll ever be able to give up fruits and veggies completely like he has though. Only downside is that it is a bit long with a lot repeated information. He could have utilized a better editor.
A complete review of the science and facts behind dietary intake of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Refreshing to read real science that is not covered by special interests such as the food industry, pharmacuetical industry, and the Amercian Dietetic Assocation which is completely controlled by these two other industry groups much to the detriment of the American Population.

Dr. Ellis takes you step by step through the facts and established science and points out that sugars (in all its forms from glucose to fructose to starches) is toxic and you must control your intake in order to stay health. Further this dietary approach is simultaneously proven to be the best approach for cardiovascular health and other disease.

You may not like the facts but finally there is a scientist who clearly is not afraid to buck the establishment and back up what he says with the science of the establishment -- properly explained for the first time!
