This is the first book by Mr. Payne that I’ve read, and I am very impressed. He writes very clearly and to the point. I like that Mr. Payne does not use lofty language to make himself sound important, but instead writes in everyday language everyone can relate to. Mr. Payne keeps it simple so every reader - from a new Christian in their teens to an elder preacher with a doctorate in theology - can clearly understand the message from God that he has been commissioned to communicate.I have been struggling personally with my purpose in Christ since I have had some major life changes in the past few years - health challenges, a forced retirement from my career, and the door seemingly slammed shut on my ministry endeavors. Although I have prayed and prayed and prayed to Father God for answers and direction, it seems like I’ve gotten nothing but the silent treatment for approximately two years. Through this book, “Finding Your Purpose in Christ”, God has reminded me he communicates with me in many different ways - not just in his “still, soft voice” in my prayer closet. God communicates to me through my interests, my likes (and dislikes), my passions, interests and hobbies. Father God is the one who gives me the capacity for feelings in life for things that I like and that I am passionate about, and he gives me abilities and talents to experience his purpose for me in those things.
Mr. Payne included some exercises in this book to do to figure out what God wants me to do with the talents he has given me in the areas of my likes, interests and passions. I believe God gave Mr. Payne these exercises for the readers so they can experience the joy of discovering God communicating to them personally what his purpose is for them - that “ah-ha” moment when a person realizes what God specifically wants them to do for him - their specific work for the Kingdom - is pure joy! I know it will be for me when I finally figure it out . . . I know it will be a loving message from my Lord Jesus, and my heart will be filled with joy unspeakable!
Thank you Mr. Payne for being obedient to Father God and communicating his message for his children to find their purpose in him. I have downloaded several more of your books to my Kindle, and am looking forward to reading and learning and growing in my relationship with my Lord Jesus, and being filled more and more completely with his Holy Spirit. I know I, too, have been called to the office of prophet, but it is a responsibility I find very intimidating. I take comfort in knowing I can read and study what you have written, and will get solid biblical information. God bless you Mr. Payne as you continue to serve the Lord!

The book was simple, straightforward, and to the point. Very good for those that are looking for direction. Great thought provoking questions were asked. Keep up the great work Matthew.
I loved this book because it gave such an eye-opening perspective on living out my life for God. As with Matthew's other books I've read, I can now find new joy in waking up, everyday, with an excitement about living for God's plans and purposes.
What makes your heart burn? How do I want to impact the world? You have to work out what is important to you and pursue it. These and many more nuggets for living a life with purpose and meaning will be answered in this book.
This book has very good and easy to understand tools for helping you understand who you are. Your purpose reveals who you are. Not sure of your purpose? Then give this book a try!
I was looking for a really simple and clear approach to the question of purpose, primarily for my adult children who have all finished University. Matthew does the job brilliantly. His message and writing style are simple, real, and direct. He makes the whole thing about purpose really easy to understand and apply personally. I definitely would recommend this book for every Christian, young and old alike! Thank you Matthew, God bless you for your work, I really appreciate your books!!
I will have to print up the wonderful commands of Jesus. One of my favorite verses is about showing Jesus we love Him by following His commands! Thank you Matthew for being faithful to follow Jesus!
I've read many books and articles about finding your vocation, mission, calling or life's plan. All of them left me still looking and wondering. This book follows an entirely different approach. It's easy to read and understand, no personality profiles or aptitude tests required and no pages of questionnaires to fill out. I learned I've been on the right track all along.
